The Foymore RPC Range Officer (RO) course is intended for club shooters of all levels of experience, who may not have had any formal training in the practical aspects of running ranges. The applicant must be at least 18 years of age, completed the pistol safe handling course or have previously done so in another club or exempt with current/previous line of work.
The primary aim of the RO course is to enhance range safety by providing practical and relevant training and guidance. Successful candidates will be qualified as a Foymore Range Officers. (ROs)
The RO qualification is valid for five years from the date of issue.
The RO course is not specific to any particular shooting discipline, however is designed to give as much opportunity as possible for the students to practice running a safe range. This course is tailored to the needs of Foymore RPC whilst ensuring that the training remains relevant to the operation of any range. The RO course consists of written, oral tests and on-range practical assessments. Other essential topics such as the law, range regulations, and guest days are covered.
The RO qualification provides an individual proof of training as an RO for use on our club ranges. The RO is not qualified to RSO on Ministry of Defence (MoD) Ranges. The RO qualification is also promoted as “best practice”.
These RO courses are delivered by qualified NRA - Club instructors using training materials provided to us by the NRA and will held at the new club house located on the Foymore Ranges.
These courses will be run in two stages..
Stage 1 - Classroom & Written (1 day)
Stage 2 - Practical & Assessment (1 day)
There is no advance preparation required for this course.

COURSE CANCELLATION
If you need to cancel / rebook:
Cancellation/re-booking less than 5 working days before the course will incur a £20 cancellation charge.
If we need to cancel a course:
All courses hold the possibility of being cancelled if they do not reach the minimum number of attendees. If this happens, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible. You will be given the option to transfer over to a new date, or to receive a full refund.
